The wood boiler I had given to me has 2 - .75 pipe inlets . what is 2 - 3/4 pipes equal to in single piping. I know that 3/4 + 3/4 doesn't always equal 1.5. I think the output is 1.25.

Diameter x Pi = circumference

Radius squared x Pi =area.... .75 diameter= .375 radius (.375x.375)x3.14=.44 x 2 pipes=.88 sq inches.
1 inch pipe (.5x.5)x3.14=.785 sq inches
1.25 inch pipe (.625x.625)x3.14=1.22 sq inches

In reality reducing for a short section right at the boiler will have little effect(within reason).

Oops! Wrong formula. Sorry about that. I was thinking surface area and not internal area.
