Here's my original thread of the issues I'm having.

We are now at the point where the installer has install a fixed damper at the top of the chimney at a 45 degree angle. I have some thoughts on a solution like leaving the 6" liner in place for 18' then attaching it to an 11" for the rest of the way. He never gives me a straight answer.

So if anyone could recommend an installer around or north of Asheville, I would appreciate it!

I live near Marshall. I got my Jotul installed a few years ago by a guy out of Asheville and he did a good job.
I am on the road now in the big rig but when I get back I can get the contact info. Will be about a week.

I used Burleson Heating & Plumbing out of Spruce Pine, but the wood burning items I remember on their website are no longer listed.

Back to the top, to remind me when I get home, probably Thursday. Never know for sure.

Have you looked into Wright's Hearth & Heat in Arden?

I think the guy's name is Travis. This is an old time company the guy is 40 years old, when he was 12 years old he was helping his dad install wood stoves. He has inherited the business from Dad.

Tell him I recommended you, I am the big tall bald headed guy with the log cabin outside of Marshall with the Jotul Oslo. He installed mine in November 2015 so he probably still is in business.

What part of Asheville do you live in?

Good luck this guy is really good, charges a fair price.
