Does anyone have any experience/an opinion on Instant Heat Wood Pellets a dealer in my town has them at a somewhat competitive price of 269/ton which is what i paid for Michigan Wood Pellets earlier this month.

These were the first type of pellet I burned. I tried a few other types but none in great quantity.

I felt that these pellets were fair.. nothing special. The 3 tons I received, did have quite a bit of fines in the bags.

I agree with ducker, burned 2 tons of it. FYI - Alleys Agway on Rte 82 Lagrange,NY just got a truckload in. There stacked up in the yard $289 cash I believe.

I got 2 "free" tons of these when I bought my stove back in Nov '07. LOTS of fines, great variation in length (many very long pellets), average heat output (when compared to other brands I've tried).

I personally wouldn't buy then unless they were my only option.

totally agree... and the funny thing is I see what I've heard was better quality pellets being sold for less then these.
