What's your preference and experience? I haven't used either...yet.

To me it seems that the (5) wrapped style shows a minimal heat loss that compares to the urethane spray foam style...and would be much more flexible.

The Urethane appears to be the one if you think there might be water intrusion at some point as there is no room for the water to get in (in most cases).

The wrapped is considerably less expensive.

Anyone know the specs on how 'bendable' each style is...say 6' of width to make a 90 degree turn?

Regards, Scotty

There is really NO comparison between the two unless you are running overhead with no moving air. I have never heard of anyone who has been happy with the foam wrapped systems beyond the first year....
If I had a free source of the wrapped style, I would remove the outer casing and foam the pipes in a styrofoam box installation.

Okay, I'll stop trying to convince myself to 'cheap out' and opt for the good stuff.
