Insulation close to vent pipe Quadra Fire

Can insulation catch fire on a 4-in double wall vent pipe? I recently pulled the back wall plywood off that contains my quadrifier AE insert and insulated around the base of the box. See attached. I fear when I did this I may have gotten insulation close to the 4-in double wall that pipe and want to make sure that I'm safe to burn the pellet stove.

Just regular wall insulation. I took most of the paper off of it.owrns corning

Most pellet pipe has a 1” clearance to combustibles. As long as your 1” away your good.

Thanks guys. All good with the insulation. New day new problem with my Quadra-Fire Mr. Vernon AE insert. Igniter is glowing, pellets are dropping and fire it not starting. I got a missed ignition one time, restarted and then it just continues not to try to light pellets. I get a little smoke and the igniter is glowing very red. Suggestions?

Sounds like an airflow problem. Not enough air flowing across the igniter to light the pellets.

Is it possible that the pellets are damp? Maybe try some different pellets.
