Hello everyone. I found this site by accident and have learned a great deal. Is there a high temperature insulation product that I can put around the direct vent pipe cavity as it passes through the exterior wall. That would save quite a bit of heat when it is not in use. Would a local fireplace shop carry some? A square foot of it is all I need. Thanks for your responses. I have also just purchased a Regency I2400 for our previously open hearth fireplace, which will be installed next week. . I'm done burning wood without the benefit of recovering the BTU's.
