I can't seem to find a manual online for this model for some reason. I am trying to figure out where the catalyst goes (I got it used and there was no catalyst inside when I took it apart) It seems a little bit inside then some of the videos of other models I've seen online.

Hi, can you post a picture of the decal or plate on the stove that identifies it? That could be helpful.

I'm going to take a guess. Your label says that the 1676 is an export only stove, meaning it can't be sold in the US, which hits me as kind of odd.

There are others with much more knowledge on the forum than I so we will need for one of them to stop by and possible have the correct answer to this.

In the meantime, take a look at the Intrepid II Model 1990 Manual. It is attached. Does it look like the 1676? If it does, bust out the measuring tape and see if it is similar to the 1990. What gets me is that the model 1990 is a US and Export Stove, according to the manual.

This stove is in Canada. VC had several export models. I am wondering if this is one of their early multifuel models. The model 1695 CE was a multifuel burner for the UK market for example. If so, the stove will resemble the 1990, but with no combustion engine refractory package and no cat.

Booter, does this parts diagram resemble the interior of your stove?

Thanks for the info. The measurements and parts for mine are slightly different. Mine also has the lever to engage/disengage the catalyst
