Is it possible to run the BK Insert electric cord under the unit and down a chimney clean out? Would this increase the risk of short-out?

Haven't heard about this being done on the BK, but I know that someone did exactly this with their Hampton/Regency insert. Might want to contact BK in Washington state if you do not get your answer here. I can see the benefits of doing this and not having the cord exposed.

The Manual on page 13 says not to run the power for the fans under the insert.......

Here is the manual - (broken link removed to http://blazeking.com/Manuals/New-Manuals-2009/OM-PI1010A) E V1.02.pdf
