A lot of the postings talk about their stoves and temperature's that they reach. I don't have my insert yet (Alalon Pendleton) for a zero clarance insert, so checking some old postings and not finding my question leaves me to ask.
Could or would a insert get just as hot as a free standing wood stove ? I've read temps form 500-900 with the cat kicking in.
Would a insert...say small one, be able to reach that ?
Would you want it to reach that high a temp ?
Are these temps standard that all stoves reach ? Or being a newbie is my question like asking... would you like a Yugo or a Cadillac, thanks for your help.
