Is this normal for stove pipe?

Is this normal part of some installations? Was under the impression the entire interior stove pipe would be black but came home to this.

The horizontal run is a little longer since there's a half ledge behind the stove.

The look doesn't really bother me because I can't really see it since all the black is reflected on it but I looks a little out of place if I pay too close attention.

I have not seen this before.
You could always get a bottle of stove spray paint.
 
It is normal for many brands of pipe. Typically the installer paints the interior portion black.
