Buck Model 74
Prefab fireplace - Preway
6” Diameter Homesaver Pro/ Ultra Pro Liner - (According to the Chimney cleaner who cleaned and inspected it)
After having it cleaned and inspected he left the following note on the bill:
-You have a Buck Model 74 Insert & a 6” Diameter Homesaver Pro/ Ultra Pro Liner installed in a Preway factory built fireplace and chimney.
-Preway does not allow any woodstove & liner to be installed in their fireplace and chimney
-Buck does not allow this insert to be installed in this manner. (Missing zero clearance cabinet & class A chimney)
-Homesaver does not allow this installation either. (Missing insulation blanket, S.S. mesh, S.S. clamps on insulated liner, adaptor, storm collar, top clamp & chimney cover all at the top of the chimney & elbow at the bottom of the chimney fastener to the liner & insert.
From my research I've found in the Buck 74 manual this model was tested with a Preway fireplace which leads me to question his comments. Can anyone help verify how accurate his information is? I appreciate any advice given.
