[Hearth.com] It's a Christmas Miracle

This is Dusty and he's a great cat. Several weeks ago he was diagnosed with liver failure. He was so sick that my wife said that we may need to put him down. The vet. said there was little he could do, but gave us some antibiotics to try. Well Dusty has made almost a full recovery.

Look out mice, Dusty is back!

I clicked "Like" . . . but as a cat lover I really wish I could have clicked "Love." Good news in a time when there have been so many times of bad news.

Looks like an early xmas present for you there Jack! Nice to see the little fella bounce back

Thanks for all of the replies........I bury all of our pets in the back yard and I'm not ready to say goodbye to Dusty. I will when he dies of old age, but not now!

Mr. Salem says 'go get em, Dusty........ get 'em.

Good for you guys !!

Fuzzball & Thomas say good for you Dusty!!

Lost oldest cat Sylvester on September 2nd,had kidney failure for just over 2 yrs.Daily IV/meds helped a lot,was doing quite well until the last few weeks, went downhill fast.Would've turned 19 in November, the vet originally said he might get 6 more months with the treatment,so I'm thankful for every extra day he had.

The time our pets stay with us is precious.

that's a long time for a cat to live with kidney failure on fluids...I've given fluids to a few cats and by the time they get to that point they don't usually last that long...you did a great job...

Awesome news for sure......the Vet bill.....doesn't matter...it was a good investment

That and his regular food also.Last 3 days he didnt eat & wouldnt get off the sofa, the other 2 cats took turns lying next to him, they knew it was getting close.
