JØTUL F 134 door problem

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can offer some advice regarding the door of my almost new JØTUL F 134.
Great stove but the door handle is very stiff to operate especially when the stove is hot.
I attempt to close it and there seems to be a lot of springy resistance in the handle ...it often takes a few attempts to close the door securely.
Is this because the stove is new or am I just not being forceful enough..?.

It might need some lubrication if it’s new. I use a spray with graphite powder. The liquid gets the graphite into all the little nooks and crannys and then the heat from the fire evaporates the liquid leaving the graphite powder.

It’s possible that the latch can be adjusted a bit too. I’m not familiar with that stove.
