I have a brand new jotul 3cb. I noticed that the top baffle with all the horizontal holes had some cement gasketing hanging down. I did everything I was supposed to do with the initial fires. Is this normal. Will it be a problem. What should I do? It also makes noises when heating up.

Greetings. It probably is not a problem, but a picture would help us see what the concern is. A bit of noise from expanding metal as the stove parts are warming up is usually not an issue. Our stove does it too. Loud, sudden noises are not so good.
