I have a stove that is identical to a jotul 4 but says made in usa... also says maxi heat I A ....any help with the manufacture would be appreciated

As far as I am aware Jotul never had a foundry in the US. Scandia and other Taiwanese foundries had no concern about copying castings outright and selling a clone. IMHO I would guess you may have offshore clone that was intentionally mislabeled as US origin.
