Jotul Combifire 4 used as a chiminea?

I have a Combifire 4 I bought from someone off Craigslist probably 8 years ago. I have never used it and am not going to use it as an inside heater (bought a modern stove). I was thinking if I put it outside with a section of stove pipe on it, it may make a decent chimenea. Thoughts?

The counterbalance system for the door would probably rust up quickly.
