All,
This is just some quick info on how to get the top lid of your stove off to clean above the tubes/fireblanket. Apparently, all of Europe is allowed to have this door operable for cleaning but in the states they're bolted down. I found conflicting information on how/where to find the bolts that hold the door down. You can not undo the door from inside the firebox. Atleast on the newer ones like mine that have the row of tubes across the top...You can access a bolt in the very front of the box as you look up but it is for the actual stove top...not the lid. You have to reach in through the flue collar and undo two bolts...I have attached 2 pics and you can see on the lid where the bolts attach.
