didnt try it yet,but I was curious if u have to turn rotating baffle to open position or does it stay closed when u drop wintergrill in the rangeland f 50??? Thanks tom
 
The baffle remains closed when you are cooking on the winter grill. Also I would recommend cooking when you are on the backside of a fire, maybe close to the coaling stage.

We love ours! As mentioned you'll get good results at the coaling stage. I usually get a nice bed of coals then toss in some smoking wood chunks/hardwood charcoal. its a bit on the small side so if your entertaining a group of adults people might have to eat in shifts lol.
