Do you mean a pipe damper, or the by-pass lever located in the center front of the stove above the door? Have you looked inside the stove? Have you had the pipe and stove inspected and/or cleaned? Could be creosote or rust keeping either bound up. Give Kuma a call on Monday morning.

It’s the bypass lever, it keeps getting stuck closed and I take a flathead screwdriver and prey it open from the back which is well and good when there is not a fire in it. I don’t know if it’s ash build up or what
