Ok ive decided on the englander 30. Ive decided on the up & out setup. and from what i understand i can use single wall thru my living space and then from the attic up use triple wall? The stove will be in my basement with a 8' ceiling then up through my pantry (8' ceiling) then into the attic/crawl space (approx. 2-4' depending on exact location of chimney) then up through the roof and any where from 4-6' (depending on exact location) so i would have a total of 24-26' of chimney.(1' added for each floor) Let me know if im wrong.

Now for the chase in my pantry what would i need for clearences? (single wall)

Any Brands better than the other?

I would need 2 of the metal boxes? (1 for each floor i go through?)

Thanks for any input. Let me know if im missing anything here.

ok so double wall is fine. i would just use that up through the attic and up through the roof? or would i also use that up through the chase in my pantry as well?

Through the chase as well, but keep in mind there is still CTC issues when going through ceilings, chases, roofs.

CTC? Counter-Terrorism Committee?
I know its not that but thats what google kicked out and found it amusing?
Could you elaborate further?

Clearance to Combustibles.

thanks makes more sense. ok so can i use double wall the whole way from the stove? or single than transition in the ceiling to double wall all the way up and out the roof.

Regardless of whether you decide to use single-wall or double-wall connector pipe (stovepipe) to get from the stove to the first ceiling penetration, I think at that point you're gonna want a ceiling support box and to transition right there to Class A chimney for the remainder of the run to daylight, with appropriate hangers/supports along the way. Don't know what brand of pipe you're planning to use, but most of the manufacturers have good installation information on their websites. Disclaimer...I'm not a professional, just a geeky burner.
