Since I don't have the benefit of comparing flame pattern, thought I'd see what other XXV owners experience by comparison.
I have a basement install and my low draft, based on magnehelic, shows high with the low draft adjustment screw as low as it will go (-10 volts). So, I'm seeing about .55" on low (a bit too much IMO). I don't see a way around this, but I'd like to see what other say before I put this to rest. I also don't know if my magnehelic is properly calibrated (seemed new), so I might as well use the flame as my guide.
Chimney is 4" up and out kit, so EVL is low. OAK of course.
Stove is on "stove temp" 4 and it's a comfy 73 degrees down here. What I'm picturing is around medium to low burn. Lots of points on the flame (angry) mostly orange with throughout, lighter in the center of the flame. Pot was cleaned and scraped this morning.
Please share your thoughts and opinions based on how your stove performs at about the same burn level.
