Got a huge kick in the nuts on saturday.

There was about 5 acres of hardwood logged at the end of my street a few months ago, about 10 cord of oak logs laying along the side of the road for months. I figure the loggers either are going to come back and get it or left it for the homeowner for firewood.

Well I should have spoken up, because saturday morning i see a listing on Craiglist for all of that wood for free(was posted friday evening), but someone had beaten me too it... talk about a kick in the go nads. 10 cord of oak logs 1/2 mile from my house free...

Long story short, it would have paid to ASK!

wow, that stinks

I noticed a huge oak down in a farmers field a block from my house. I called him and he said take what ya want and leave the rest. It DOES pay to ask.

Ouch! We/they had a tree come down (on his side) with our posted sign on one side theirs on the other side... so I called him to see if I did the work we could split(half) the big azz cherry, he chewed my azz out on the phone, I never ask any more.

That big cherry sits on the forest floor rotting.

Stick one of these on your side of the property line facing them.::-)

That is definitely one of those "too good to be true" situations. That much wood and oak to boot is such a rare sight indeed

Hmm...a nice Full Gnome out, I see.

My neighbor has 9 acres of woods. He never takes a thing out although he won't let any one in either.
I'm on speaking terms with him but he just rather let the trees that fall rot. go figure.??

C'mon now, you know we don't put up with hard core bug porn on these forums.

At least it's not a video.
