It was a cold rainy windy day on Saturday.
The house was damp and chilled. Mid 50's outside

Poured in a bag of TS (MWP) leftovers
Hit the start button and in about 20 minutes all was comfy in the house.

Let it run for about 3 hours (basically on Idle)

Was nice to have a flame in the Living room again :)

Only 0 more pellet shopping days left !!!!

I absolutely refuse to use heat from June 1 - Sep 30. We'll put on our winter jackets if need be.

That M55 is a nice stove!
Is the Auger shaft 5/8" or 3/4" ?

Saturday was the day of the big Kennedy wedding down there! Did you see anyone famous?

The EF-3, that I was working on is gone now. The new Gleason-Avery ball bearing auger motor and nylatron auger bearing I installed on the 3/4" auger shaft (pre-2008 stove) should make it last forever!
Do you still have your EF-2? Does it have the BIG 3/4" auger shaft?

Standard 5/8" SAE 841 bronze oilite needs cleaning and lubrication
Nylon - permanent lubed 5/8" better than bronze
Nylatron - harder and permanent lube for use with a large 3/4" diameter heavy duty auger shaft - best combo for a top feeder!


P.S. I was down there Sunday and went to your local brewery! Which one is the favorite?

I still have the EF-2 (in standby)
not sure what auger is in it. Came with it. lol
Don't drink anymore but used to love the Cape Cod Red

Hi Mike

With a little work rebuilding that EF-2 by installing an enviro digital control panel and new auger bearing and motor, it could automatically heat part of the house if needed?
 
Dont need it. The M55 handles it fine.

Putting in a wood burner in the shop this fall to keep me warm while I work, lol

nice, Nailer. i never closed the M55 for the summer, either. first time.
 
Have friends that refuse to turn on there furnace until thanksgiving and off after first day of spring.
