Here's a good source for the collar: http://www.drillspot.com/products/1...d=1623454804&gclid=CMnYxOWM1bUCFQZV4AodiygAuw

With the set screw, you don't even really need the washers. Just put it where it needs to be on the cartridge.

Good price for the collar
Better than Grainger

However I disagree about the washers. Without the washers, the igniter does not stay in the center of the igniter tube. The washers are smaller in diameter than the ignitor tube and go inside the igniter tube to hold the igniter in the center of the hole.

I edited out the part about the washers. I'll have to look more carefully when I put this collar on an igniter. I won't be doing that until I have to replace my current igniter and now that I have a spare igniter and this collar, I will probably never need to do it. I find that when i have a spare part around, the part that I need it for never breaks. (Unless its been so many years that I have no idea where I stored the spare part).

You may want to look around for those washers. That diameter and size is very hard to get! I used 2 and I RTVed them against the collar. Maybe 4 would have been better. Easy to check. Just remove the 2 bolts that holds the front cover when your stove is cold and the igniter slips right out.

Don thanks for the advice. I'm not going to worry about that for now. I go to advance all the time. I always order my parts ahead of time with the online coupons and then pick them up in the store. Next time I go, I will order them. I have 3/8" bolt that I rounded off with my angle grinder in there now and it is working well and has been for a while. I believe that I have an older model stove than most people have. It came with my house 5 years ago, so I don't know the age. Aside from the set screw on the collar, there is a set screw on the part of my stove that holds the collar and cartridge in place. Thats why I don't think I will necessarily need the washers.

The catridge heater ignitor solution https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads...eads-for-cartridge-heater.81979/#post-1055760 is still running going on almost 3 years. I knew it would because I still have that super ignitor backup. Its been so long, I was worried that I had used my backup and forgot that I did, but I came across it this morning. I have not had a factory or super ignitor last more than one season in the past in this stove.
