I have a 2006 Lopi Yankee pellet stove. Finally found the source of a rattling noise I hear intermittently while the stove is running. It's the Ash Pan seen here in this photo. Note the two hex nuts on the plates on the left and right. When the rattling starts, if I carefully put pressure (careful they're hot) on either of these hex nuts, the rattling stops. Next time I do a thorough cleaning, I'll remove this plate and see if I can add some thin asbestos gasket material or ? to insulate the metal to metal contact and stop the nose. Thoughts?
