Most people on here complain about the "LOW" heat pellets. After finishing my first winter with pellets. I have found I need a lower heat pellet. I tryed the Somersets from lowes and it as -15 outside and i had the windows cracked open. That was while running on 1-1. The pellets i have found that work the best for me are H.E.A.T. out of Mt Vernon,MO. They smell like they have quite a bit of bark in them and are really dark. but they kept my house at a very comfortable temp.

Hey was wondering how ashy was the H.E.A.T LLC pellets were. I can get some for $3.50 a bag and was going buy them to top of my supply. The local MFA feed and supply told me some had good luck and some brought them back because they were terrible with ash and heat. I just bought 2 ton of Southern Indiana Hardwood (SIH) from my local Atwoods. Excited because they are something different for around here. Also, what bout the Ozarks Oaks from Nixa hardware. Did you ever try them? I called them when i was in branson bout a week ago and they told me they were made by a local pellet mill in the area. They wouldn't tell me which one but all there is Pennington, OHP, and HEAT LLC in the area and one in Arkansas near mountain home Arkansas.

Hello jwyoung

The pellet brand is not your problem. My neighbor had the exact same issue when his 25-PDVC was new.

The 3 buttons at the bottom of your control board need to be adjusted for your room setup!

You can also call Englander Stove works customer service. They will be happy to help you get those settings right!

We have had the same complaint with Cubex. They say they like them but they have to open a window because the stove is running on the lowest setting. I put an old 1rpm motor back in the old Breckwell I have instead of the 4rpm because the shed was getting way to hot. The forklift liked it but the grease was melting.

This is what I recommend. Explain the situation, and maybe they have an adjustment you can make. Make sure you have the year and serial # of the stove when you call. Try asking for Mike Holton...he's the man!
