Lowest height rear flue Stove available???

Hello all I am new to this forum not that new to wood burning stoves . Bought a Vermont Castings Intrepid on ebay has the short leg kit and works well in my 2 story cape . It has the catalytic in it and it works well love the double door fire viewing and ash pan easily accessible in stove . Here is my dilema I'll cut to the chase puts out good heat but as usual not a long burn when u retire to bed and wake up to no heat in the am . It is rear vented out my fireplace and sits on my hearth only problem is a height
restriction on my fireplace can at best put a stove with rear exit flue total height of my fireplace opening is 22.5 inches and that is it . I want to sell this and get a larger stove for longer burns and a little more heat output problem 1 wife likes the ambiance of the viewable fire 2. I don't want an insert 3. I don't want to breach into the fireplace because if we sell the buyer might not want a woodstove and will hate to look at a hole in the brick above the fireplace any help will be greatly appreciated

You might be able to go with an older plinth model Encore that you will occasionally see for sale on Craigslist. That should come in at about 22.5" based on my measurements.

The Progress Hybrid from Woodstock should be an option as well. With the short leg option it comes in at 22.7", but it has been mentioned they will cut them to fit your needs if you prove your hearth meets their requirements.

Other than that? An insert or an insert styled stove like the Buck Model 74.

Hearthstone Homestead with the hearth kit is pretty low out the back.. I think when rear vented thru the compact clearance adapter, something like 15" to the center of the flue..

Hey really appreciate u guys gettin back to me I will have to do my homework and see which one is best suited for my needs cold and finally rain here in NY . Flue height on Progress with the short legs is same as Fireview at 22 3/4" to center of flue.

many of the jotul stoves would work fine for you... the designs are great for woodburning with the wonderful fire views you want, these designs are from the elegant European old world and the legg height is a non-issue provided you maintain a minimal 3" air space under stove and its set on a non-combustible surface like a brick or stone hearth you can cut the leggs to w/e height you wish (im unsure if they make a low legg kit, but worth calling the company to ask if they can assist you), I personally would have no problem unbolting the leggs and slicing a few inches off the leggs of these euro style units.
