What is the purpose of the two adjustable round sliders on the lower firebox? Can't seem to find mention of them anywhere.

Do you mean the two round plates that are held in place with one screw each?
If so remove them and vacuum out the ash every now and again

Thanks! No manual, stove came with the new house, just a generic one online. I just find it easier to remove the lower box to clean behind it.
