These massive andirons were acquired by my father sometime before 1970 in the New England area. I'm curious about their history, but unfortunately, wasn't able to get any information before he passed away. Haven't been able to find a similar set in all my searching, so thought I'd post here to learn if anyone has any info/thoughts to share or possibly get a push to any resource.

They stand about 40 inches tall, go over 30 inches deep, and the crossbar is about 60 inches long.

Very heavy, of course. Haven't put them on a scale, but feel safe saying that each side is at least 100 lbs.

The set has a matching wood box and tools. Those too, are massive.

Thanks in advance for any information and thoughts.
