Well.....had my Ms290 farmboss for 8 years, had one spin on me today and land on it, happened so fast, I couldn't believe the damage it did to the saw.....Went to dealer and grabbed the ms 261 pro series, I think I'm going to like it, light weight and the thing sure does rip! Perfect power for firewood.

Bummer...but you got a great new saw!

I guess the 261 pro is the same as my 260 pro. It's a great saw. A sharp chain on it and it will go thru anything.

The 261 has a non adjustable carb vs your 260 Pro...both good saws...I ran a pair of 260 Pros all day today cutting tops..love the power to weight ratio of these saws!

Also own the CM 261pro saw at first it was hard to cold start soon caught on. It’s a 3000 ft climb to get my wood from 6200ft home. No need to check jetting at 9000ft saw remembers where it’s been!
