Decided it was time for mid season complete cleaning. The pile is from the room blower 8 cats and pellet dust. Did leaf blower on vent now have black snow on ground.

Did my mid-season cleaning yesterday. Blowers cleaned
stove, disassembled, and performed a full cleaning. Leaf blower trick
Now I also have brown snow. Again, after 24 years of use 24/7 (heating season)
still works as it should . The only thing ever replaced during that time
was a combustion blower and some gaskets . Most impressed with this stove

95 bags little more then usual but we have had some cold (Polar Vortex) stretches'. More coming this week Monday night-Tuesday then Friday -Thursday all suppose to be 0° F +-

Hoping I timed the pellets in the P43 correctly. Have been running with GS Midwest HW (mid level heat and lots of ash - basically a cr*ppy pellet) for nearly a week. Saturday night. I added a bag of Orford's HW that burn really hot,

Having a hopper extension, along with the temps being fairly mild lately, means the stove doesn't run a lot so the timing can be tricky. It's not really a big deal either way, as my place will stay warm. It's just a "feel good" thing for me where it takes a few less pellets to do so.

I did a good cleaning of both stoves, along with LBT on 12/21/25. With the ashy pellets I should do it again next weekend. I had to empty the ash pans to both stoves on 1/8/26 since they were full (even after stirring).
