Mimosa

Hey all,

I'm a noob to wood-burning. I just moved into a new house and I have 13 mature Mimosa trees on my property.

I'd like to burn the Mimosa because there is just so many trees in places I don't want them. I searched, but couldn't find anything about burning Mimosa wood. Does anybody have any experience with burning Mimosa? It won't kill me... will it?

Also I have about 30 railroad ties that the previous owner used to section off failed attempts at gardens. They're very old.. Would they be worth cutting up and burning?

The mimosa is a nice tree, keep a few of the healthiest specimens and watch them for a year. They may grow on you.

Don't burn the railroad ties. They were likely soaked in creosote.
