Most mini splits have the temperature probe stuck in the head. The remote does nothing. If you have a central ducted system, that would have a remote thermostat. In heat mode, a mini-split will run the blower when the temp at the head goes down and it turns on. In cool mode, the blower will run all the time. Basically find a setting you like and leave it. You might need a fan to blow it out of the room. I find I need a fan in the summer, but not in the winter.

On my unit I have the remote set as the thermostat,I want a better wifi thermostat so I have a better remote control function through their app when I'm away.alexa doesn't cut it for me.
