Montecito estate owners looking for feedback.
I purchased the FPX elite 3.6 but because of the chase location - the flue run to get to the chase is too far for that unit to work. My next option is the montecito estate. I've searched and there's a lot of chatter about the unit, but unable to find very much feedback from actual owners.
Everything I have seen people mentions it need constant fuel. Whats been your experience? How does it perform in heating your home? Other quirks?
To make matters worse, because of the EPA standards on the unit, they're backlogged and it would be 6-8 weeks delay. Because we recently learned about the FPX wouldn't work, the dealer has offered their floor model, which has been used.
My home is new construction 2100 SQ FT ranch located in kansas city. I'd like the ability for this unit to pick up the load for heating the home in the winter months. The home is an open floor plan. The living room where the fireplace is located is 11FT and is open to the kitchen w/ 9 foot ceiling. The bedrooms are just off the living room but in the opposite direction.
