In The Woods
I made a run back to check the trails (not bad, one tree & a limb) down across the trails on the bottom part of the property.

Pic 7643 is a small maple that was across the trail, 7645 is another maple that a limb (pic 7646) broke off, 7647 is a cherry Sav told me to cut years ago, 7648 is the limb that came off of 7649.

I was on my way up top when the sky opened up, I'll check that this week along with a few more areas.

You just never know what is going to go during a storm. Were those trees hit by lightning or taken down by wind? There was a lot of storm damage in this state, but none around me that I am aware of. Predictions are for major storms and potential damage this PM as the cold front moves in. . I don't look forward to the storm but it will be nice to be able to get outside. I don't go but from the car to the house when it is 90F and the humidity so high.
Looks like you will have an addition to you wood pile.

I would say they all came down by the wind. One weather site has us in the danger zone today, another has everything staying south of us.

At the moment the temp is 79 with it dropping to 48-50 tonight.

Well hang on zap. Well before you run short on wood Mother Nature will put more down for you. :)

Let me take care of about half of what is down before another storm hits. Starting on Monday the push is on (depending on the weather) I'll cut during the week an split on the weekends then in late August I can start the hauling out to the stacking area.
