I know this is a highly subjective question but what, in your opinion, is the most beautiful stove? If money was no object, what would you get? Or if you already have it, show me pics! Just curious what y’all like.

The answer is : the one your significant other likes best....
The result of following that approach is the least complaints for the next 20 years.

For me I like my Chinook. Clean lines, minimalist. Modern.

This is probably a lot like with women...the "prettiest" ones often aren't the ones you want to live with everyday...

It's totally subjective. There are many kinds of beauty. One man's treasure can be another's boat anchor.

I believe my BTU demand is too high for any catalytic stove that’s all nothing against them and even if I could the wife would trash the catalyst in 3 days she’s a cold blooded pyro she has to have flame or in her mind it’s not enough (I’m working on it ) LOL

That's all fine but a cat can also run high, with flame. There are many cat stoves in Alaska, and there is a member here who runs the thing hard all winter long.

But this thread was about aesthetics I believe, not types or other things?

BK King likely has the ability to run you right outta the house on high...

F400/F500 with the arched doors. I also like the Pacific energy’s T series. Now if I had a modern styled house I could get behind more modern looks. But I’m sticking with the classic looks for now.

Agree, my Kuma isn't a supermodel but she's durable and still nice to look at. Makes a good farmers wife.

The Jotul Oslo, clean face or gothic arch door frame, probably was one of the best stoves made ever for cast stoves. The secondary tube version was probably the best, but I don't have operational experience with the current version. But looks, this is a home run stove. I still believe steel stoves are the best all around value, easiest to run and operate, but for looks a blue black or brown majolica enamel Oslo is hard not to like.

We looked for a while and really like this VC dauntless. I know a lot of opinions but if the set up is good and you burn GOOD wood, we’ve had no problems.

VC Bordeaux red (if its still called that) has been around a long time, still a very nice color indeed. She looks ready to keep things warm.

My old hearthstone heritage was extremely cosmetically attractive. It even performed well but was just not durable enough for serious use. Looked great though.

My current favorite for looks is the PE alderlea series. The whole stove, even the back, is cast iron but with a welded steel firebox.

Trouble is, I’ve been spoiled by the high performance of a well designed cat stove. An ugly one. Constant soaking heat for 24 hours per fillup with softwoods.

My Oslo gets my vote You have to get the enamel. It looks good in a rustic cabin

I'm a bit late to the discussion...but I do enjoy our Hearthstone Heritage...it's a nice slow heat...not a lot of luck cooking on it but the
window to watch the fire sure is pretty! (and I can always light an outside fire to cook if necessary.)

My old (2006) noncat heritage was a really nice looking stove. Clear window, clean chimney, plenty of slow heat once you got it warmed up.

The Hearthstone Equinox looked like a larger version of the Heritage. Wonder why they discontinued it?
