The installer thinks the stove can be moved back about 6". I plan to use a piece of slate or similar material in front of the hearth where the rug is currently. Just need to find something with the right look.
 
Sounds great. The Castleton is a very aesthetically pleasing stove, Porcelain Brown is gorgeous. That should keep things warm for you.
