Here's the deal. Our stove is in the living room. About 14x20. It's in the middle of the back wall. The house is shaped basically like an H one of the "legs" being the living room, the other being the dining room and kitchen with a NARROW hall between, off of which is the bedroom and bathroom. Even though you can stand in the dining room/kitchen and SEE THE STOVE, heat refuses to move well into that area, which is maybe 30' from the stove. This photo was taken in the dining room, you can see a bit of the wall on the left side:

We have a blower on the stove and two ceiling fans in the living room. Heat just doesn't want to leave that room! The bedroom even has a "window" between it and the living room (between the two closets with the shutter doors), it was originally a closet doorway but we removed the closet for more space in the living room and just framed it in with a shade we can put down for privacy (the original idea being getting heat in easily):

It is easily 10-15 degrees cooler in the dining room. As soon as you walk through the door from the living room into the hall, you can feel the temp change. There's just no space for a fan, especially with a big dog.

Any ideas on this?? It's so odd to me, that with a nearly straight line of site to the stove that the heat just won't move...

(EDITED TO ADD: the white kero heater you see in the hall way is decorative only, the tank was mia when we found it-there's a string of christmas lights in it instead.)
