Hello all. I just wanted to share the log splitter I built in case it helps anyone else who may be thinking of building their own. It's built from a splitfire splitter and the rest I did my self. The big difference is it's powered by a 5hp electric motor. Not Gas.

Nice clean job. Not sure that I am a fan of the handle position, but hey - if it works, it works.

Always amazed by people who can conceptually design and fabricate items like this! Nice job!

Yes, indeed a clean well done job.

Thanks everyone. So Yeah, the control placement is the one criticism I get. It's actually not to bad. Your never reaching over wood to get at it, or feel that your having to reach. My main reason for putting it there was to have little chance of it getting knocked accidentally.

Nice job. Time saving going both ways to split.
