I have a 25-PAH from Englander stoves, it came with the house my wife and I bought last year so I'm not sure of the age. We have had a few issues with codes and shut downs in the past but nothing a good cleaning didn't fix. However, the last few day we have tried to start it and nothing, it never leaves start up mode and fills the burn box with pellets but won't ignite, the burn box does not eve get warm/hot like it normally would, my guess would be the auto igniter but I'm not sure and wanted to double check before pulling anything apart. Any help would be great thank you.

check the connections on the control panel for the igniter if all is good there then it's more then likely the igniter.

do this;

stove shut off and unplugged. remove the burn pot so you can see the igniter sleeve clearly. it would help to give the glass a good cleaning

plug the stove in with the hopper lid open, with the lid open the unit will not feed so you wont drop pellets into the cradle.

with the front door closed turn the stove on and darken the room itself so you can see if the igniter heats up. if its functional within about 3-5 minutes you should be seeing a strong orange glow inside of the igniter sleeve. if the glow is not present after that amount of time its likely a dead igniter.

if the igniter is glowing then the likeliest thing is there is a blockage in the exhaust pathway or flue not allowing enough combustion air to get the pellets to fire (unlikely)

for directed troubleshooting feel free to call my support office at 800-245-6489 our hours are 8-5 eastern and our technicians would be quite capable of helping you diagnose the problem (besides , we're free, there is no charge to anyone warranty or not for troubleshooting help)

Just so you know Mike is the head guys at England Stove Works so your not going to get any better help. I don't what his actual position is but I do know he freely helps our members asking for help. Not many other stove company's provide his type service so you are lucky you have one of his stoves for a first timer.

Good luck with getting your stoves issues straightened out. Cold weather is here at least where I live.

I swapped the igniter with the one form our other stove ( same make and model) and it fired right up, after removing the old igniter it looks pretty well used/cooked so I'm guessing it's time for a new one of those. Thank you everyone for the help.
