Dennis posted his a while ago and we've seen a few others since. I threw this together with some stuff I had around the house. I've been skidding logs out of the woods at a friend's house and figured I try this to keep the wood a little cleaner.

I don't have any action shots. It didn't work as well as I hoped, but I may have overloaded it for the hill that I have to climb to get out of the woods there. I'm wondering of it would work better if it was longer and spread out the load more.

That looks like a pallet nice work. I would try elevating the front off the ground with a bent lip and a couple of slats or sheet metal on the bottom front. Kind of like the front end of a toboggan but without the big curl on it that would allow it to slide and not catch on anything.

We used to use an old car hood off escort that things slid like a sled in the snow !

You can't really see it in the picture, but I did put a 45 on the bottom at each end. Maybe it should be a much more shallow angle?

Maybe U did , Looks like it would work good , but longer might work better.
U could prolly make that hill when the snow flies :)

I'd cut the leading face of the runners to 22.5*. If you make it longer you'll increase the surface area. The amount of "drag" will be the same but lengthening it will help out a lot if you runners are digging in the ground. Making it longer will come at the expense of turning / maneuverability though.

I'd maybe look into putting some 1/8' flat stock on the bottom for runners. Countersink your screws into the runner. That thing will pull better, especially in the snow. Oh and like was mentioned, shallower angles on the front of the runners will help. make them "radiused" instead of hard angles....
