hello all, my father in law is looking for a new stove that looks antique that both heats the house(2500sqf) as well as cook. i have attached a picture of something that he is looking for. does anyone know of a brand or a dealer in nj? the local store we checked said they dont have any.

This company isn't in NJ but they carry a lot of brands. You can google the brands to find a local dealer. We looked into the these types of cook stoves but the ones I liked were were about $5,000 a lot more than "regular" woodstoves. Good luck!

The Progress Hybrid has a cook top option. A free option I believe.

That's a big area in a colder climate. There are several cook stoves that could do this, but for that sized space I would get a heater first and a cook stove second. That said, he should look at the Esse Ironheart.

Jotul and Harman both make a top loading stove that can take a grill insert. They aren't proper bake ovens of course, but something a little different than your standard cook top stove.

I just went in and kissed my $800 electric kitchen range. Would kiss my $1,000 wood stove too but it is at six hundred degrees at the moment.Yeah, these dedicated cookstoves are all pretty steep. The grill inserts and cooktops are the more affordable option. Of course I'd drop seven G in a heartbeat if I could afford it.
