Hello
I am new Here and have been doing tons and tons of research on this great site and just have a few questions.
First off I am in Washington state temps in winter can very from 0-45 degrees in winter time. My house is 1600 square feet and my backyard buts up against the national Forest so I have all the pine and tamarack I can cut. (With a permit of course)
I have a small zero clearance fire place right now and want to put in either a lopi answer or quad Voyager insert.( these are the brands of my 2 local stove shops and I like to support our local businesses) I have read that some people have problems with the quad and controlling the air as well as the start up procedure. The lopi seems to have a shorter burn time according to some post. I am not looking to heat the entire house 24/7 but more supplement the furnace and try and save some $$$. I am just looking for some thoughts and opinions from you guys and to help me think of what I have not thought of yet.
Thanks for your help
