What the heck is a rendering plant . . I'm already dreading the answer . . a scene from the Fight Club is coming to mind . .

"The plant will take train carloads of yellow grease, a product from rendering plants, and previously used oils, and turn it into 5 million gallons of fuel each year that can be used to run vehicles and be added to heating oil, Union said"

Not quite Fight Club, but close.

A rendering plant is where old livestock passes through on its way to a Better Place.

Some may want to wait till after lunch. ;)

Edit, Edit:
You may have to cut and paste the link, the forum or something does not seem to be processing it correctly.

Seems to be dropping the last ) . If you just add it to the end of the URL you get when clicking on the above link you will/should get the right page.

Edit:
Link was not right.
