Only $100.00, WTHeck, I think that's a little much, i found a brand new one original Blaze King on Ebay, half that shipping included, mine only two years old, stays stuck at 6 O'clock position.

Not too bad, but condar (oem for bk) can be had for about 15$ less than your half priced oem but I wouldnt feel bad about it.

We have not worked with Condar for a few years now. Just an FYI.

Can I highjack this thread? I also didn't want to pay $100 but also I needed it fast, so I bought one from eBay. I probably shouldn't have. At this point I've bought two from different companies. Both advertised it with this washer/disc that sits on the stove top:

But both came with out it:

I emailed blaze king but they didn't seem to know what this washer was made of. Does anyone know? Sounds like a different company makes the thermometer. Anyone know who that is?

I believe that's a magnet. I ordered my second Blaze King cat thermometer on eBay, it came a week ago, it too was bad and didn't have the washer you're showing. It got sent back for a refund. Condar just sent mine out Tuesday, and I got it today. It has that washer and works perfectly,$29 bucks. Numbered in degrees.Nice folks to deal with at Condar.

Ok one last question. The thermometer sold by condar, has temperatures marked on it. Can anyone confirm those temperatures are accurate for the blaze king combustor? Meaning the active zone is accurate.

Don't know if this helps, but my Condar cat thermometer was showing 1000 degrees. I took my Kintrex infrared thermometer and then opened the stove door and hit the beam right in the glowing combustor it showed HI, The Kintrex maxes out at 932 degrees so the Condar is probably pretty accurate.

Thank you. Though I guess what I'm wondering is if the blaze king combustor starts becoming active at 550° f. That seems to be the bottom of the active zone on the Condar.

It might depend on which stove you have. It should be in your manual. In the manual for the BK Sirocco 20.2 it states that the cat combustor becomes active at 500 degrees F.
