New Ecoteck Owner Need Help

i got a elena today. i was going to put it together but it seems that i am missing some parts.I am missing the hoses for Pressure Switch and the fitting that threads in to the Combustion Blower. can some one help me find these thing? the dealer here closed down.

Welcome to the Ecoteck club......I have an Elena Steel, there are a few of us here on the forum...do a search.

The US Ecoteck distributor is (was?) North Forge Heating in Annville PA, the owners name is Barry. Maybe he can get you the parts you need...and probably charge you a fortune too.

For the fitting, I suspect you can find a metric threaded hose barb fitting, and also get a foot of silicone automotive "vacum" hose. For the stove-to-flue-pipe adapter, you will need to get a little creative with a 3 inch automotive exhaust pipe adapter, which with a little bit of grinding will fit the euro-odd-ball 80mm size of the Ecoteck exhaust pipe size. Send me your email address and I can send you a copy of the factory service manual.

rewire the pressure switch to NC until you get your part, at least then you can use it.

Hey Jeremy, I am starting up my new Elena for the first time and also discovered that I was missing a hose. I jerry-rigged something for temp, but I can't decide which side of the pressure switch is connects to. Any clue?

Bottom barb on the switch. Read up on the use of LBT. The stove has a pair of passages in the back that are a pain to clean but with use of leaf blower the stove is kept spotless internally. You want to disconnect the vac hose when you use the leaf blower.

Thanks for the info, hopefully i'm a year away from LBT since my roof is a 9/12 pitch and steel.

I would suggest using a good clean burning pellet then. Marths pine pellets are pretty fair and available from Fleet Farm and on sale for 239 ton or 4.99 a bag. I have a bag of their bedding pellets I am going to try as they are supposed to be part pine and part aspen.

You are never more than one ton away from the LBT... a good douglas fir pellet will keep that stove cleaner longer but will only delay the inevitable.
