To be honest, I'm not sure. The marble was there when I got the house. The marble is about 3/4". They never removed it during the install, so I have no idea whats underneath it. They just plopped it on top of what was there.


Of course I have an Empress, but I doubt that makes any difference.
 
Hey Tyranid, is there any chance that you can email me these pics???

I am in the process of ripping out a Propane fireplace and installing a Castille pellet stove and it would definetly benefit me if I could see pics of how it was done.
