Hi all...New member. Found this site while searching for answers. Any help would be appreciated.

Brand new, out of the crate Quadrafire Santa Fe Inset. Just installed today

After install, upon first start up I have the following conditions:

Call for heat Red light is on.
Blower is on.
I hear pellets move for a second then stop, none drop into firepot.
igniter does not heat up...cool to touch

Blue light flashes on control board (6 times), does that twice then yellow light flashes 3 times and it repeats yellow.

Sometimes the yellow and blue flash at the same time.

If I unplug stove and then plug back in..the flashing sequence starts over...blue, then yellow.

I did the start up as per manual, tried the reset switch to no avail.

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance

Vinnie

Flashing yellow means the control box is unhappy with the thermocouple... look for a possible break in the thermocouple and also check the wires to it.

How many times on the reset?Sometimes it takes me 3 or 4 times when it first gets filled.

Thank you for the replies.

Having testing everything to do with the thermocouple and still nothing....I read here some more. Problem has been solved.

The control box was not seated properly and the contacts were not making enough contact between board and control box.

Thank you all very much...I'm glad I found this site. Hope everyone had a safe and Merry Christmas

Glad you got it going. One very important caution that you may not have picked up here > NEVER unplug or plug back in unless you first unplug the stove.
The six blue flashes are what a Sante Fe insert should display, so that's perfectly normal. Now adjust the feed so that on High you get a flame that 'averages' about 4 to 6" high or about half way to the sloped plate at the top. It will go up and down quite a bit so this is kind of subjective. You'll find the Sante Fe is a great little stove.

Thank you. Only problem now is my feed rate. I've adjusted the feed rate to maximum, but it only seems to dispense maybe "10" pellets max. I've primed the burnpot with a handful of pellets. The fire starts but the feed is so small the fire just burns it self out. If I hit the reset, it just feeds the 5-10 pellets but that is not enough to sustain a constant flame. Any ideas?

The picture in my Sante Fe manual shows the feed rate lever backwards. For max feed, you should be moving it to the right.
If you are doing that and since the stove is new, there's a chance that a long pellet or other object is obstructing the top of the chute. Get a flashlight and a small mirror and look up the chute to see if there is an obstruction or if a long pellet has gotten stuck crosswise up there. This happened a lot with me in the beginning when I had super long pellets and also a label come off and jam things up at the top. The same thing can happen at the feed gate but I never had it happen. Always at the top for me.
