my glass looks like that no matter what pellets i run through the stove. It takes 1-2 days to happen. I keep my stove really really clean too. i use a shop vac, leaf blower trick and air compressor. stove will still fog up the glass very quickly. As for the whine... i get that too but usually for a few hours after a good cleaning, especially after using the leaf blower. goes away in a few hours.
