We have been shopping for a pellet stove to heat our 2250 sq ft house, will be in basement and hope to heat the entire house with minimal oil. Got on a wait list for a Mt Vernon back around 8/1/08, was told 1/09 at the earliest, with no reassuring news from the dealers or these forums since. Sooooo.... after shopping around, it appear our options before winter are the Breckwell Big E, Lopi Yankee or the Rika Integra II. None of these stoves are currently in stock, but I've been assured they will all be available in September as they have new shipments coming in. From the reviews, haven't heard much good about the Lopi, so I'm leaning more towards the Breckwell or Rika. Breckwell will be about $3000 installed, which is about $1000 cheaper than the Mt Vernon. Haven't been quoted a price on the Rika yet. And we are NOT DIY'ers, so we need a stove with available maintainence. Any thoughts/opinions greatly appreciated!!
